DFAS Lexington
The Defense Finance and Accounting Service - Lexington
was activated on May 18th 1998, marking the 18th location
in the Defense Finance and Accounting Service's consolidation
plan.
Directed by Robert Cash, DFAS-Lexington
is located at Bluegrass Station, the former Lexington Army
Depot, in Lexington, Kentucky, heart of the Bluegrass Country.
Lexington is known as "The Horse Capital of the World" and
is surrounded by thoroughbred horse farms.
DFAS-LX provides installation-level finance and accounting
support service to the following military activities:
- Fort Knox, KY
- Fort Gordon, GA
- U.S. Army Signal Center
- 93rd Signal Brigade
- National Guard
- NGB Joint Staff
- Army National Guard Readiness Center
