The policy and mission of the Office for Civil Rights (OCR), Office of Justice Programs (OJP) is to ensure that recipients of financial assistance from OJP, its component organizations, or Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) are not engaged in prohibited discrimination. The primary objective in accomplishing this mission is to secure prompt and full compliance with all civil rights laws and regulations so that needed Federal assistance may commence or continue.
