On September 3, 2003 OSHA implemented a new classification and numbering system for OSHA Directives (details available at ADM 12-0.9
http://www.osha.gov/OshDoc/Directive_pdf/ADM_12-0_9.pdf).

Both current or old directive numbers can be used to access directives by following the "Directive Number" link (above) or by using the "search" function. The resulting table will show both new and old numbers for each directive.

When searching for references to a particular directive in other documents, make sure you do search for both current AND old directive numbers to find all occurrences.
