Title VII Training-EEO in the Work Place

OEOCR is required to assure that all CMS employees are instructed on Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the American with Disability Act to 1990, and the Civil Rights Act of 1991.  These statues prohibit employment discrimination based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age and disability.  As a Federal employer, CMS expects a respectful workplace that is free of EEO discrimination, harassment, and offensive and inappropriate activities.  This training course informs us of our statutory EEO rights and responsibilities under several laws, including: Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Rehabilitation Act.  This course helps us to prevent and identify actions that disparage, denigrate, or demonstrate hostility based on race, color, gender, national origin, age, or disability.
