Welcome to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of Housing, Single Family Insured Housing, homeownership center reference guide. We have created this guide to assist mortgage industry professionals in understanding the procedures for appraising and underwriting for FHA 1-4 family, insured mortgages.
