Investigators publish in peer-reviewed journals and present the status of ongoing research at MMS Information Transfer Meetings and regional, national, and international conferences. Final research reports submitted to MMS are distributed to depository libraries throughout the United States and are also available through the National Technical Information Service.

Offshore drilling rig as seen from beachTo meet the demands for rapid dissemination of information, research reports are now prepared in digital format and are available full text from the Alaska Region's Reading Room. Access is also available through the Environmental Studies Program Information System (ESPIS).  These products all form a part of the information base used by MMS analysts, and others, to conduct environmental assessments related to the management of OCS resources.
