Investigators publish in
peer-reviewed journals and present the status of ongoing research at MMS Information
Transfer Meetings and regional, national, and international conferences. Final research
reports submitted to MMS are distributed to depository libraries throughout the United
States and are also available through the National Technical Information Service.
To meet the demands for rapid
dissemination of information, research reports are now prepared in digital format
and are available full text from the Alaska Region's
Reading
Room. Access is also available through the Environmental Studies Program Information
System (ESPIS). These products all form a part of the information base used by MMS analysts, and
others, to conduct environmental assessments related to the management of OCS resources.
