The goal of the Terrestrial Planet Finder is to search for Earth-like planets. Both infrared and visible-light techniques offer plausible solutions to the daunting observational problems this goal presents. This presentation will summarize NASA's program, the results of recent studies, the role of JPL scientists and engineers in developing this mission, and the prospects for international collaboration.
