At the third traffic signal, turn right onto Suitland Road. Go approximately 1 mile, past the softball fields, and take a left at the large water tower into the last entrance to the Suitland Federal Complex.
By Car from Downtown Washington, DC:
Take Pennsylvania Avenue east and across the Anacostia River. Near the District of Columbia border with Maryland, turn right onto Southern Avenue. At the first traffic light, turn left onto Suitland Road. The entrance to the Suitland Federal Complex will be on the right, past the Washington National Cemetery and near the communications tower.
Free visitor parking is available at WNRC.
Public Transportation:
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority bus system serves the general area, but all stops are located some distance from the building. The closest subway station is the Suitland station on the Green line. Take any Green line train traveling in the direction of Branch Avenue. The Suitland station is the second to the last station.
From the station platform, take either the escalator or the elevator up to the parking garage level. The entrance to the Suitland Federal Complex is on the opposite side of the garage from the train station. Cross through the garage or walk around it to reach the entrance. A government or photo ID must be presented to the guards in order to enter the Federal complex. Once inside, there is a shuttle service that goes from the gate to the WNRC.
