Abstract: HHS GILS is the electronic "virtual
card catalog" that identifies the information dissemination products, services, and automated systems of the entire HHS department. These "cards" point to information products such as
publications and CD-ROMs; automated information systems used for collecting, processing, maintaining,
and disseminating information; and Privacy Act Systems which are in electronic or paper format.
Purpose: HHS GILS, part of the Federal GILS program, was established to help the public locate and access information throughout the Department of Health and Human Services.
