For Visitors
Visitors must park in designated visitor parking lots
(see the Visitors Campus
Access Map). Visitor Parking is extremely difficult to find at NIH, so if at all possible,
take public transportation.
Visitor parking (other than patient visitors) is available at a cost
of $2 per hour for the first three hours or $12 per day.
Vehicles entering the underground parking area will be searched prior to
entering the garage. Be sure to allow extra time for this vehicle inspection procedure.
For Patients
Patients may park on the P-3 level of the Clinical Center garage. Parking for patients is free. Patients should
have their parking ticket validated at the Security Desk near Admissions. Valet parking is also available (see below).
Patients may park 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the Clinical Center garage, P-3 level. Vehicles entering the P3
(Patient Parking) Garage or any other underground parking area will be searched prior to entering the garage. Be sure to allow extra time for this vehicle inspection procedure.
Valet Parking for Patients and Patient Visitors
If you are a patient or patient visitor at the NIH Clinical Center, you now can use
our convenient valet parking service, available Monday through Friday, 7 am - 10 pm, excluding Federal holidays.
- Drive to the South Main entrance of the Clinical Center (Building 10) where a valet
parking attendant will give you a claim ticket.
- The parking attendant will park your vehicle in the designated valet spaces in Parking Lot 10H (adjacent to the main entrance).
- When you are ready to leave, get your claim ticket validated by the Clinical Center parking validation desk so that you can reclaim your vehicle.
Note to NIH Employees: Due to the need for valet parking space, some NIH employee parking spaces in Lot 10 will be relocated to the ACRF garage. Additional temporary parking spaces have been added in Lot 41 at the south end of the campus. From there, you can access the regular NIH shuttle-bus service.
