GSA Achievement Award for Real Property Innovation

GSA designs and conducts the annual GSA Achievement Award for Real Property Innovation awards program and uses that program to stimulate innovations and to highlight and share best practices with the entire federal real property community.

Entries from GSA's Award program and others that came to our attention during the course of our office's ongoing activities with the federal and private-sector real estate communities are published annually in a Best Practices newsletter.  Entries substantially improved operations by reducing costs, increasing efficiency and productivity, and/or helping to achieve strategic goals.

Visit "Achievement Award" for more information about the program.

State Governments Best Practices:

The "Best Practices in Real Property Management in State Governments" report offers details on innovative best practices in operation at the state level, with the intent that sharing these practices may lead to creative, new approaches throughout other levels of government.

Access the "Best Practices in Real Property Management in State Governments" report by clicking into the "E-Practice Library" and selecting the category "State Government Best Practices."

E-Practice Database

The over 300 best practices captured by our GSA Achievement Award for Real Property Innovation program are also available for adoption now in an innovative, easy-to-use E-Practice electronic database.

This database makes it easy for GSA to share best practices with other agencies which can review the best practices appropriate to their needs and adopt them.

Check out the practices and policies, adopt one, and make the agency’s asset management program work better.  After adopting a practice or policy, an agency is eligible to submit an entry for the "Adopt-a-Practice" award.

Click on the "E-Practice Library" with its electronic database.  Also, the annual Best Practice Special Edition Policysite newsletters (which include best practice/policy entries from each year's Achievement Award program and other sources) are available in the "E-Practice Library" in pdf/accessible formats.

Submit an application through the "Adopt-a-Practice" award page under the Achievement Award webpage.
