Division Federal Law Enforcement National Job Recruitment Initiative SEP 7--(Houston, TX) Several Federal law enforcement agencies are continuing recruitment initiatives for the hiring of new employees across the nation. AUG 19--(San Antonio, TX) Special Agent in Charge James D. Craig with the Drug Enforcement Administration, United States Attorney Johnny Sutton and Bexar County Sheriff Ralph Lopez, announced the indictment against and the arrests of 26 San Antonio area residents, all of whom are alleged ranking members of the Texas Mexican Mafia and or associates, on federal drug, firearms and money laundering charges.
Fugitives Sought In Multi Defendant Indictment Case JULY 23--(LAREDO, TX) United States Attorney Michael Shelby and Special Agent in Charge James D. Craig with the Drug Enforcement Administration announced that a federal indictment, which was partially unsealed as to 18 defendants who were previously taken into custody, has now been unsealed as to all remaining named defendants. Investigation Leads to Arrest of 18 Members of Drug Criminal Enterprise JULY 20--(LAREDO, TX) United States Attorney Michael Shelby and Special Agent in Charge James D. Craig of the Houston Division of the Drug Enforcement Administration announced the arrest and indictment of 18 persons charged in a twelve-count indictment for their role in a drug and money laundering criminal enterprise. The indictment, which was returned by a federal grand jury in Laredo, Texas, on July 7, 2004, has been unsealed following the arrest of 18 defendants, including SIMON LOPEZ, 34, of the 900 block of Graceland in Laredo, Texas, an alleged head of the organization. Craig with the Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Interim Special Agent in Charge Doug Krockenberger, Internal Revenue Service - Criminal Investigation Special Agent in Charge Enrique Fasci, San Antonio Police Chief Albert Ortiz and Colonel Thomas A. Davis, Jr., Director of the Texas Department of Public Safety announced the return of a federal grand jury indictment charging 12 individuals with conspiring to distribute marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine throughout San Antonio, Austin and Eagle Pass, Texas. National Law Enforcement Memorial Week MAY 18--May 15 is National Law Enforcement Memorial Week in honor of all America's federal, state and local law enforcers. This initiative allows us to pay tribute to our fellow officers/agents who have made the ultimate sacrifice in their dedication to duty and honor.
