DEA Philadelphia Announces
" Operation Last Chance"

FEB 15--On February 5, 2004 Thomas A. Marino, United States Attorney for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and ASAC Stephen Churchill conducted a press conference in Scranton, Pa. concerning the culmination of a interstate Title III heroin investigation. Operation Last Chance resulted in the indictment of 21 people of which 20 have been arrested. Agents executed search warrants in Pennsylvania and New York seizing guns, money, and heroin. The investigation was conducted in coordination with the Pennsylvania State Police, Bloomsburg Police Department, Columbia County Drug Task Force and Hazelton Police Department.


DEA Disrupts Colombian Drug Ring
Criminals Smuggled Heroin into East Coast Cities

JAN 15- DEA Administrator Karen P. Tandy together with United States Attorney Christopher Christie of the District of New Jersey, United States Attorney David N. Kelley of the Southern District of New York and United States Attorney Marcos Daniel Jimenez of the Southern District of Florida, today announced the disruption of a major Cali, Colombia-based heroin trafficking organization. Dubbed "Operation Streamline," the investigation targeted the Orlando Ospina trafficking organization that smuggled more than 990 pounds of high grade (75%-80% pure) heroin a year into Miami, FL for distribution to New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA; and Newark, NJ.
