WASHINGTON, September 1, 2004 -- The Risk Management Agency (RMA) today announced Stonington Insurance Company as the fifteenth approved participant in the Federal crop insurance program.

Stonington has a strong rating of “A” from the A.M. Group of Companies.”

“RMA’s goal has been to broaden the availability and accessibility of crop insurance,” said Risk Management Agency Administrator Ross Davidson. “With the addition of Stonington as an insurance provider, we increase coverage and capacity to the Federal crop insurance program to better provide risk management tools to the American agricultural producer.”

Stonington is approved to write an authorized level of crop insurance premium for the 2005 crop year the company is owned by Glencoe U.S. Holdings Inc. Stonington’s Managing General Agent for the business is Agro National L.L.C. chartered in Iowa with approximately 175 agency relationships.
