Description

The Blind Children's Fund (BCF), formerly The International Institute for Visually Impaired, 0-7 (IIVI, 0-7), founded in 1978, is a resource and information center on the early development and education of visually impaired preschool children. The Blind Children's Fund provides parents and professionals information, materials, and resources that help them to successfully teach and nurture blind, visually and multi-impaired infants and children. Services include a variety of publications and consultation for programs, teachers, parents groups, and regional meetings. The BCF (IIVI) is developing media and materials, promoting early programs and services for visually impaired children and their parents, and building an international communication and distribution system.

BCF (IIVI) publications include a newsletter, symposium proceedings, books, videos and other materials for parents and professionals. For children there are storybooks with blind characters, toys and materials. Serial publication: Newsletter, subscription annually is $10 US, $15 outside US and a material list is available upon request.
