  • Vacancy 4: Research Physicians The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) oversees the biomedical research programs of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and those of NIH research Institutes. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), an Institute of the NIH, seeks to recruit two Staff Clinicians (psychiatrist, internist, radiologist or neurologist) to join an interdisciplinary group of scientists and clinicians in the Neuroimaging Research Branch in Baltimore, MD. Staff Clinicians spend the majority of time designing and conducting human research protocols in a collaborative research environment. Employing modern neuroimaging tools (fMRI, MRS, PET), ongoing research aims at understanding the pharmacological, cognitive, neurochemical and affective bases of drug addiction.
