Our 2003 Strategic Plan: Ready Access to Essential Evidence
The National Archives and Records Administration is America's national recordkeeper, a public trust on which our democracy depends.
To effectively accomplish our mission of providing ready access to evidence
that documents the rights of American citizens rights, the actions of Federal
officials, and the national experience, we use our 10-year Strategic Plan as our guide for aligning priorities and assigning resources.
Every three years we must update this plan, which allows us to take stock of
accomplishments, make adjustments for new mission requirements, and improve the
way we measure our performance. This 2003 update covers our plan from 2004 to 2008 and beyond.
