The Clinical Center Pharmacy Department Oncology Pharmacy
Practice Residency is accredited by the American Society of
Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).
The primary goal of this one year Specialty Residency in
Oncology Pharmacy Practice is to provide an organized
clinical and distributive postgraduate training program in
oncology pharmacy practice. The resident will experience a
unique opportunity to work alongside National Cancer
Institute investigators to conceptualize, integrate, and
transform accumulated experience and knowledge into improved
drug therapy for cancer patients. This program focuses on
providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to both adult
and pediatric cancer patients. Extensive onsite experience
in antineoplastic & HIV-infection drug development,
supportive care therapy, bone marrow transplantation, gene
therapy, and clinical research is provided.

Entrance Requirements:
- A Doctor of Pharmacy or other
advanced degree is preferred.
- Completion of a Pharmacy Practice
Residency or equivalent experience is
desirable.
- Three (3) letters of
reference.
- On-site interview.
