Statement on Behalf of Patient at South Pole, 7/13/99
"The patient has asked me to relay her appreciation and gratitude for
the support she has received from so many -- including the concern of
the general public through messages passed to her by other sources. She
is cheered by these gestures and by the actions being taken on her behalf,
and is in good spirits. She appreciates also the respect that has been
shown for her privacy during a difficult process."
