Help for the Biomedical Equipment Y2K Status Database Search

The database and search mechanism provided permit the searching of the biomedical equipment Y2K database. The data included in the database are information submitted by manufacturers regarding the Y2K and other date-related issues for their products. [detailed information regarding the database] Data are posted to this database as they are received from the manufacturer. Submission of data is voluntary. There is no assurance of the compliance status of any manufacturer who does not repsond. For manufacturers whose assessments are incomplete, the data will be updated when additional information is received from the manufacturer. The Food and Drug Administration, however, cannot and does not make any independent assurances or guarantees as to the accuracy or completeness of this data. Companies sometimes use several business names, reflecting their corporate structure. If any information presented here is unclear due to differences in business names, we would appreciate your informing us of any corrections to be made.

Manufacturers have provided information regarding their products in one of three categories listed below, or as a URL to a Web site the manufacturer operates:

  1. None of the manufacturers products use dates and thus have no Y2K or date-related problems.
  2. Specific information was provided regarding products which Y2K compliant.
  3. Specific information was provided regarding products which have Y2K or date-related problems.
You may search the database based upon any of these criteria, as well as by manufacturer, brand and model names, type of product (using the official FDA classification name of the device type), and dates of update to the database.
