FY 2004 Historic Preservation Fund Grants to Preserve Nationally Significant Intellectual and Cultural Artifacts and Historic Structures and Sites

Guidelines and Application Instructions

Applications are invited for Federal Save America's Treasures Grants. The grants are administered by the National Park Service in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities.

Save America's Treasures grants are awarded through a competitive process. Eligible activities, selection criteria, administrative and funding requirements, and application submission instructions follow. Grants are available for preservation and/or conservation work on nationally significant intellectual and cultural artifacts and collections and on nationally significant historic properties. Intellectual and cultural artifacts and collections include artifacts, collections, documents, sculpture, and other works of art. Historic properties include historic districts, buildings, sites, structures, and objects.

Applications must be received by no later than 5:00 pm Eastern Daylight Savings time, Wednesday, May 19, 2004.
