Thank you for using SBA's Agency Online Notification of Error (A-One) process.
As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure the quality of the information we provide
to the public, this process allows you to quickly notify SBA of a data error.
All error notifications are routed to the appropriate person who has the
authority to make corrections.
This error notification interface allows you to easily report data errors. You may:
Simply highlight the area of the text that you
would like to report an error on and use the browser's "COPY"
function and then "PASTE" the copied text into the Error
Information part of the form. You should then add your own comments at the
end of the Pasted text to inform us of the problematic information and how
you want that changed.
Or,
Type the information directly on the Error Notification interface.
For example, if the street address is incorrect, you would enter:
The street number should be 122 Main Avenue instead of 124 Main Avenue.
Always include a description of where you identified the error and what you
believe to be the correct value.
You must enter identifying information so that we may keep you
involved in the error correction process. This information is not made available
for any other purposes (see Notice of Use).
SBA will notify you of the progress of your reported error and may ask for
additional information or documentation, if they are needed. SBA does not
accept anonymously submitted errors.
The Error Notification interface provides ample space for you to type a description
of the data error. Please include enough information to allow SBA to identify
and evaluate the data in question (if not already captured on the form through the
highlighting process).
See Tips on how to successfully describe an error.
Be sure to include a description of where you identified the error and what
you believe to be the correct value.
Alternatively, you may provide the same information via:
Telephone: (800) U-ASK-SBA
FAX: (202) 205-7064 ATTN: D.Gannon
Mailing Address:
409 3rd St. SW, Room 4000
Washington, DC 20416
ATTN: D.Gannon
SBA will use the personal identifying information which you provide only for
the expressed purpose of responding to your error notification and will not make
this information available for other purposes. The Agency does not sell or otherwise
transfer personal information to a third party. SBA will not accept
anonymously submitted errors.
SBA will respond to every submitted error as quickly as possible.
A SBA representative may contact you if additional information or documentation
is required. The error will be routed to a SBA staff person who can evaluate
and resolve the data in question. You will be informed when and where your
error is routed. Most errors will be routed within 2 to 4 working days. It may
take a month or longer before data corrections are reflected. You will be informed
of the final disposition of the data in question and of any significant delays
that may occur. Feel free to contact the Error Correction Center at
any time to check on the status of your error notification.
Please bear in mind that the Error Correction Process is not designed to provide
answers to information requests regarding SBA policy. If we receive information
that does not fall within the purview of the SBA Error Correction Process,
we will attempt to refer these requests to the appropriate person or agency.
This process is not intended to be a substitution for SBA system-specific standard
operating procedures. This is a notification and error tracking effort.
Thank you for your participation in our program.
