CONTRACTS

 

NAVY

 

            Bechtel Plant Machinery Inc., Schenectady, N.Y., is being awarded a $166,153,132 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-04-C-2104) for Naval nuclear propulsion components.  Work will be performed in Pittsburgh, Pa. (75 percent) and Schenectady, N.Y. (25 percent).  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  No completion date or additional information is provided on nuclear propulsion contracts.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

 

            Bechtel Plant Machinery Inc., Pittsburgh, Pa., is being awarded a $127,163,858 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-02-C-2102) for Naval nuclear propulsion components.  Work will be performed in Schenectady, N.Y. (40 percent) and Pittsburgh, Pa. (60 percent).  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  No completion date or additional information is provided on nuclear propulsion contracts.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

 

ARMY

 

            Phillips & Jordan Inc., Zephyrhills, Fla., was awarded on Oct. 6, 2004, a delivery order amount of $21,999,572 as part of a $21,999,572 firm-fixed-price contract for Debris Clearance and Removal.  Work will be performed in Alabama, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 30, 2004.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were 138 bids solicited on Oct. 30, 2002, and nine bids were received.  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington, N.C., is the contracting activity (DACW29-03-D-0005).

 

            Hunter Manufacturing Co., Solon, Ohio, was awarded on Oct. 13, 2004, a delivery order amount of $12,550,785 as part of a $47,944,997 firm-fixed-price contract for A20 Personnel Heaters for Combat Vehicles.  Work will be performed in Solon, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by Oct. 12, 2010.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a sole source contract initiated on March 19, 2004.  The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-05-D-0003).

 

AIR FORCE

 

           Lockheed Martin Commercial Launch Services, Denver, Colo., is being awarded a firm fixed price contract modification.  Increase to previously reported on 24 February 04 Unpriced Delivery Order F04701-98-D0001 0046 for National Reconnaissance Office West mission Launch-28. The value of this action reflects contractor proprietary commercial pricing data which needs to be protected to preserve the integrity of competition in the EELV program. No funds have been obligated.  This work will be complete by October 2005.  Solicitation began September 2004.  The Headquarters Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles, Calif., is the contracting activity F04701-98-D-0001, P00017).
