CONTRACTS

 

AIR FORCE

 

            L3 Communications Vertex Aerospace LLC, Madison, Miss., is being awarded a $31,078,242 firm- fixed price contract modification.  This action will exercise FY05 options for logistic support of the T-1A aircraft at Vance, Columbus, Randolph, and Laughlin Air Force Bases and Pensacola Naval Air Station.  At this time, total funds have been obligated.  This work will be complete by September 2005. The Headquarters Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright -Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-99-C-0016, P00075).

 

            L3 Communications Vertex Aerospace LLC, Madison, Miss., is being awarded a $9,048,739 firm fixed price contract modification to provide for C-12 contractor logistics support (CLS), exercise of Option V (FY05)  Oct. 1, 2004 thru Sept. 30, 2005.  At this time, total funds have been obligated.  This work will be complete by September 2005.  The Headquarters Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker AFB, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-00-C-0111-P00191).

 

NAVY

 

            Todd Pacific Shipyards Corp., Seattle Division, Seattle Wash., is being awarded a $9,737,934 delivery order under previously awarded multiple award contract (N62799-02-D-0001) for the performance of blast and preservation repairs on the USS Columbus (SSN-762).  Work will be performed in Bremerton, Wash., and is expected to be completed by May 2005.  Contract funds in the amount of $9,737,934 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was competitively procured by a request for proposals and three offers were received.  The Navy Regional Maintenance Center, Bremerton, Wash., is the contracting activity.

 

            QinetiQ Inc., Washington, D.C. is being awarded a potential maximum $6,069,010 value indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with for improved specific emitter identification (I-SEI) systems and engineering support.  Specific emitter identification (SEI) technology passively measures emitters, and characterizes unique emitter signatures that can be used for friendly or enemy emitter identification and fingerprinting.  The contract employs a hybrid pricing structure to procure up to 32 I-SEI hardware systems with varying levels of ruggedization on a firm-fixed-price basis, and engineering support services on a cost-plus-fixed-fee basis.  Manufacture of I-SEI hardware systems will occur in Malvern, United Kingdom; engineering support services will be performed in San Diego, Calif., (70 percent) and Norfolk, Va., (30 percent), and is expected to be completed by October 2009.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was not competitively procured, as it is a sole-source contract award in support of the Department of Defense Foreign Comparative Test program.  Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N66001-05-D-5002).
