Office of Work Force Development and Recognition (OWFDR)

Mission Statement

The Office of Work Force Development and Recognition (OWFDR) is located within the Office of Administrative Management (OAM). The OWFDR provides NHLBI managers and supervisors with information, resources and tools to recruit, reward, and retain talented staff, as well as to optimize performance in support of the NHLBI’s mission. The OWFDR advises the NHLBI Director, Executive Officer, and Division and Office Directors on functions associated with the Institute’s management training program, employee recognition program, performance management, policy development and implementation, work force monitoring and planning, human resources management, and other related issues such as EEO, conflict resolution, affirmative employment, diversity, and disability.
