Labs at the NHLBI

Laboratory of Molecular Hematology No longer an active Laboratory

The overall goal of the Laboratory of Molecular Hematology is to determine the mechanisms by which gene expression is regulated. Specific goals include: (1) transcriptional regulation of rate limiting translation initiation factors during T-cell activation, (2) the role of the transcription factor a-Pal in the coordination of cell growth, cell cycle activity and differentiation, (3) the functional consequences of a-Pal heterodimerization with Max and other b-Zip proteins, and (4) the development of adeno-associated virus (AAV).
