Two Nominees Win National Fire Plan Awards
David Crary, Fire Management Officer of Cape Cod National Seashore and the Indiana Interagency Coordination Center, in which Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore is a cooperative partner, were honored at the National Fire Plan Conference in March 2004.

National Park Service Grieves For Wildland Firefighter
Wildland firefighter Daniel Holmes, age 26, of Bellingham, Washington was killed Saturday, October 2 when he was hit by a falling dead tree on the Grant West Prescribed Fire in Kings Canyon National Park. A guestbook is available in memory of Daniel on the Arrowhead Hotshots website.
