WASHINGTON, Sept. 24, 2004 — The idea that Iraq is discussing elections in January "is breathtaking," Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld said today following meetings with Iraqi Prime Minister Ayad Allawi in the Pentagon.  Story

Attack Kills Iraqis; Insurgents Hit Mosque

WASHINGTON, Sept. 24, 2004 — A rocket impacted in northern Baghdad today, killing four Iraqis and wounding 14 others, U.S. military officials there reported. In southern Baghdad, mortar rounds fired by insurgent militia damaged a mosque.  Story
