The DOE Weatherization Assistance Program has published a number of publications and reports documenting the savings and benefits of weatherization. In addition to DOE, the states and some weatherization stakeholders have also published useful documents helping low-income households reduce their utility bills through energy efficiency.
Weatherization Program Technical Assistance Center (WAPTAC)
WAPTAC is a technical resource for people involved in providing weatherization services and programs around the country and sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy and the National Association for State and Community Service Programs.
Oak Ridge National Laboratory Weatherization Support Program
Oak Ridge (ORNL) analysts and engineers provide technical support for DOE's Weatherization Program, and especially importantly, they conduct evaluations that verify energy savings. For the most recent data, see the ORNL Metaevaluation: The National Evaluation Update.
