Weatherization News

The Weatherization Assistance Program has become a national energy priority in recent years and plays a prominent role in the National Energy Policy. Weatherization is mentioned specifically in the National Energy Policy documents published by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in 2001. In addition, DOE's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) calls for weatherizing 1.25 million homes in the next ten years as the second major goal listed on page eight of the EERE Strategic Plan (PDF 1.1 MB).
