Secretary Powell traveled to New York City on Monday, September 20, to attend the United Nations 59th General Assembly. While in New York, Secretary Powell conducted a number of bilateral and multilateral meetings with his counterparts.
President Bush traveled to New York City on Tuesday, September 21. The President went to the United Nations, where he called on UN General Assembly President Jean Ping and met with UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan. The President then delivered remarks to the UN General Assembly.
