Personnel Announcement

President George W. Bush today announced his intention to nominate
three individuals to serve in his administration:
The President intends to nominate Michael W. Marine, of Vermont, to
be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of
America to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. A career member of the
Senior Foreign Service, Mr. Marine currently serves as Deputy Chief of
Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, China. He previously served in
the same capacity in Nairobi, Kenya. Earlier in his career, Mr. Marine
served as Minister-Counselor for Consular Affairs at the U.S. Embassy
in Moscow, Russia and Bonn, Germany. He earned his bachelor's degree
from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
The President intends to nominate the following individuals to be
Members of the Board of Regents of the Uniformed Services University of
the Health Sciences, for the remainder of a six-year term expiring June
20, 2009:
Otis Webb Brawley, Jr. of Georgia
Vinicio E. Madrigal of Louisiana
