At the request of Gen. Paul J. Jones to complete the investigation begun by Maj. Gen. George Fay, who will remain a part of the investigating team.
On June 16th Acting Secretary of the Army Les Brownlee announced the appointment of Gen. Kern, Commanding General, U.S. Army Materiel Command, as the appointing authority under the provisions of Army Regulation 381-10, procedure 15, to look into the alleged misconduct of certain personnel assigned and/or attached to the 205th Military Intelligence Brigade.
