Cholesterol
This update of the 1989 screening guidelines provides
recommendations for cholesterol screening outside of the traditional medical
setting. Two new features of the guidelines include the measurement of HDL
lipoprotein cholesterol as part of initial cholesterol testing and more
aggressive measurement and treatment to lower cholesterol in patients with
