USGS Frequently Asked Questions

Question: How do I get aerial photographs of where I live?

Answer:

Visit our How to Obtain Aerial Photographs Fact Sheet which includes a checklist of information needed for Earth Science Information Center staff to search our data bases for available photographs.

Photographic reproduction of images from the USGS film archives ceased on September 3, 2004. However, aerial photographs can be ordered in either of two digital formats through EarthExplorer.

For those who specifically need paper or film products, there is a list of USGS Business Partners who provide aerial photographic research and image printing services.
