The Technology Transfer (TT) Division serves as the conduit for Laboratory collaborations with private industry. In this capacity, TT promotes the transfer of technology from the Laboratory to external sectors for the benefit of the nation and its citizens.

TT matches Laboratory scientific and technical talent, expertise, and facilities with research and development endeavors in external sectors for the advancement of national security, technological innovation, and economic competitiveness. TT efforts focus on the following:

Executing and managing the Laboratory's intellectual property, licensing, and agreements functions.

Developing and managing partnering relationships with private industry.

Creating ways to use emerging Laboratory technologies to nurture new high-tech business, create job opportunities, and attract entrepreneurs and capital to Northern New Mexico.

TT's technology transfer, intellectual property, licensing, marketing, entrepreneurial, and legal specialists expedite interactions between Laboratory technical staff and technology partners. The goal of the TT team of specialists is to establish dual-benefit collaborations that meet the needs of both the Laboratory and its partners.
