Prostate Cancer - Featured Clinical Trials
1. Prevention of Bone Fractures in Prostate Cancer Patients (Posted: 09/07/2004) - This study will evaluate the ability of zoledronate (Zometa®), one of a family of drugs known as bisphosphonates, to prevent fractures and other bone complications when administered at the same time as or shortly following androgen deprivation therapy.
2. Chemoprevention Trial for Men at High Risk for Prostate Cancer (Posted: 04/27/2004) - Researchers are interested in determining whether a daily dose of the dietary supplement selenium might prevent prostate cancer in men at high risk for the disease.
3. The Modafinil and Fatigue Trial (Posted: 01/06/2004) - This study is testing the ability of modafinil to reduce fatigue in cancer patients who are receiving chemotherapy. The study will also examine the relationship between depression and fatigue in patients treated with modafinil.
