AFRL/XPT Mission Statement: Manages Air Force programs to develop and transfer/transition technology and responsible for communicating the AFRL mission.

AFRL/XPT Mission Description: Establishes Air Force and AFRL level policies and procedures and orchestrates activities to maintain the lead in technology transfer. Responsible for program execution, training and budgetary items including the: Independent Research and Development (IR&D), Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR), Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR), Dual-Use Science and Technology (DUST), TECH CONNECT, Science Fairs, AFRL Technology Horizons, Success Stories and Accomplishment Reports. Establishes policies and procedures for internal and external marketing and communications activities throughout AFRL. Provides advocacy support and materials within AFRL for community outreach activities.
