Mr. Robert Pitossky, Chairman
Federal Trade Commission
6th Street at Pennsylvania Avenue. NW
Washington, DC 20580

Dear Mr. Pitossky:

It has come to my attention that the Federal Trade Commission has proposed that the "Made in the USA" label used on merchandise and in advertising no longer be limited to goods in which "all, or virtually all" components were made in the United States. I strongly encourage you to reconsider this proposal. Changing the meaning of the label would deceive consumers who expect accurate information and for whom "Made in the USA" is a source of pride.

Thank you for your attention to this issue.

Very truly yours,

Wayne Goodwin

Representative Wayne Goodwin
