Nonimmigrant Visa (NIV) Processing Fee

The NIV processing fee is US$100 and can be paid for at any HanMi (KorAm) Bank branch within Korea. The processing fee is payable only in Korean Won and is based on the daily exchange rate at the bank. All NIV applicants, including children listed in a parent's passport, if applying for a U.S. NIV, must pay the processing fee. The bank will give each applicant a receipt showing payment. This fee receipt must be submitted with each application at the time of submission. Applicants cannot pay the processing fee at the Embassy.

Please see the map above for directions to the HanMi (KorAm) Bank closest to the U.S. Embassy -- only about 15-minute walk. You can contact the bank by telephone in Korean at (02) 731-8100 for directions.

Fees for other Embassy services, such as immigrant visas and U.S. passports, are payable only at the Embassy. Only nonimmigrant visa processing fees are paid through the HanMi (KorAm) Bank.
