The NASA Television Education File segment broadcasts NASA produced programs specifically designed for students and teachers. From the wonders of space to our amazing planet Earth -- inspiration and learning is the mission of the Education File. The NASA Television Education File airs weekdays 8-10 a.m., 4-6 p.m. and 8-10 p.m. (Eastern Standard or Daylight Time) and weekends 8-noon, 4-6 p.m. and 8-10 p.m. (Eastern Standard or Daylight Time). The Education File may be preempted by other events. If you plan to use program content in the classroom or any situation where program interruption would cause a problem, we suggest capturing programming on video tape prior to scheduling use of it. Each month NASA selects a theme to highlight for the education community. The Education File celebrates these themes by selecting one week each month to broadcast theme-focused videos with something "Extra". These Extra Theme pages organize the best of NASA's online resources related to the monthly theme in one place for educators. To see previous themes and to plan for upcoming ones, select the Extra Themes button to the left.
