Ethics Desk Reference
A guide created to increase awareness of situations that could arise
during your Federal career. It includes step-by-step instructions
on such subjects as what to do if you're subpoenaed to testify in
a civil suit; rights and prohibitions for lobbying; outside employment;
post-employment restrictions, and more.
Special Government Employee Guide for Collaborators, Experts,
and Panel Members
Human Resources Division's goal in providing this guide is to increase
awareness of Ethics rules and regulations. Each SGE's commitment
to upholding these rules is essential to ensure the propriety of
the SGE (Collaborator, Expert, and Panel Member) program.
Ethics Training Supplement for Research Personnel
The Ethics Office identified the need for a supplemental training
manual that would address specific ethical concerns of research
personnel. This manual was prepared as a component of a developmental
assignment conducted by Dr. Joyce G. Foster during her participation
in the Office of Personnel Management's Executive Potential Program.
Encyclopedia of Ethical Failure
Prepared by the Department of Defense - Office of General Counsel,
this guide contains real examples of Federal employees who
have intentionally or unwittingly violated the Standards of Ethical
Conduct & the resulting sanctions taken against them. Some cases
are humorous, some sad, but all are real. Many cases could have
been avoided completely if the employee had contacted their Ethics
Advisor before getting involved in the inappropriate action.
