Information for Attending

Unticketed and Group Friendly
Twilight Tattoo is free and unticketed. Large groups wanting to sit together are invited to coordinate through (202)685-2888, or eventswebmail@fmmc.army.mil. Bus parking for groups is an option.

Weather
Inclement weather will cancel the show. When rain is possible, a decision whether to proceed is made around 3 p.m. the afternoon of the day of the performance: The decision is communicated here, on the MDW Events Line (202)685-2888, and over a number of area radio stations.

Seating
Bleacher seating for more than 2000 Lawn seating and standing in the wings. Handicapped access available.

Photography
Twilight Tattoo offers ample opportunity for still photographers and videographers. Patrons are welcome to photograph from their seats.

Meeting the Soldiers
Some of the performers will be able to greet audience members as they arrive, but all will be available to talk with after the tattoo.

Picnicking
The Ellipse is under the jurisdiction of the National Park Service whose rules govern picnicking activities. Generally, smoking and drinking of alcoholic beverages are not permitted, and trash must not be left behind. Kindly complete any picnicking before the show begins.

Parking
There is no parking on the Ellipse. Street parking in the area of the Ellipse is limited, although some frequently becomes available after 6:30 p.m. Parking garages are located in office building near the Ellipse.

Public Travel
Metrorail and Metrobus service are available. Federal Triangle (Blue and Orange Lines) is the closest metro station.
