FOIA requests filed with the Office of Administrative Law Judges (OALJ) must be in writing, either handwritten or typed. No special form is required. While requests may be submitted by fax, OALJ does not accept FOIA requests submitted by e-mail. In making your request, you should be as specific as possible with regard to names, dates, places, events, subjects, etc.
