The document serves as a sample that can be used to create an Integrated Contingency Plan that:
a. Satisfies federal, state, and local government regulatory requirements;
b. eliminates the confusion of having multiple plans for a single facility; and
c. minimizes document maintenance process and associated costs.
This ICP serves as a mechanism to ensure that Naval Air Station Example Base (NASEX) response management teams are adequately prepared to address a worst case discharge. As such, the NASEX ICP details procedures for the mobilization of personnel and mitigation assets. The resulting response is designed to minimize life threatening situations and damage to natural resources.
