Overview

Graphic and link to State Health Statistics by Sex and Race/Ethnicity listservWelcome to the NCHS electronic data warehouse on minority and women's health. This site was developed by NCHS with support from the Office on Women's Health. This site contains tables that describe the health of people in each State by sex, race, and age.  Currently, mortality tables and health behavior and risk factor tables can be accessed by downloading a free data dissemination software called Beyond 20/20®. As soon as new data becomes available, we will provide updates to the existing tables as well as add to the kinds of data currently presented on this site.

Data from this site were used to create the Women's Health and Mortality Chartbook, a statistical resource on women's health.

The Beyond 20/20® browser makes retrieval and display of tabular information interactive: you can customize a table, print information or graphics, or transfer data into a variety of other common database or spreadsheet packages. However, the browser must first be downloaded and saved on your hard drive, in order to access these tables. Tables can also be viewed online, for quick access.

The technical notes provide important information on data sources, statistical methods used, and references to corresponding publications.

Please let us know if you have any comments, suggestions, or questions about this Web site or other NCHS programs, activities, products, or services.
