The Why Files

  The Why Files
The Why Files, a popular and critically acclaimed web site that explores the science behind the news. The Why Files format consists of alternating weekly features that key off developments that make headlines. The site also offers a Cool Science Image feature and gallery with pictures obtained from the front lines of science, images infrequently or rarely seen in traditional popular media such as newspapers and television.

Official Site of the NSF Sponsored PBS show. Has lots of great information for students and teachers, along with tons of science experiments that you can do at home.

Dinosaurs

  Dinosaurs, at Honolulu Community College
For the first time in Hawaii, there is a unique, free, permanent exhibit of dinosaur fossils available for public viewing. These "fossils" are replicas from the originals at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, which boasts one of the finest and largest collections of dinosaur fossils in the world. HCC is providing Hawaii's students and interested community groups with an exciting look at the prehistoric natural history of the world by displaying the fossils of some of the largest terrestrial creatures that ever lived. Knowledgeable docents can give presentations geared to different age levels.
