About the editor....
Dr. Woodrow J. Kuhns of the Central Intelligence Agency History Staff compiled this collection of documents and supporting material, and he wrote the Preface. A graduate of Kuztown State College in Pennsylvania, Dr. Kuhns received his M.A. and Ph.D. in political science from Pennsylvania State University. Before joining the Center for the Study of Intelligence in 1996, he was an analyst in the Directorate of Intelligence at CIA. He also served for three years as CIA's representative on the faculty of the Naval War College.
