Accredited Facility Search

Look for the ACR accreditation seal! When you see the seal, you know:

  • Your hospital, clinic or health center has voluntarily gone through a rigorous review process to be sure it meets nationally accepted standards.
  • The personnel are well qualified, through education and certification, to perform and interpret your medical images and administer your radiation therapy treatments.
  • The equipment is appropriate for the test or treatment you will receive, and the facility meets or exceeds quality assurance and safety guidelines.

Diagnostic imaging includes different types of tests and equipment—X-rays, ultrasound, CT scans, mammography, MRI and nuclear medicine/PET scans. The ACR accredits each of these "modalities" separately, so look for accreditation seals appropriate to each in your hospital's advertisements.

Facility Search Help:

Please select the accreditation program you're interested in searching. You must select a locality or a ZIP code. You can enter in partial values for ZIP code and city. For example, if you enter "A" for city and "221" for ZIP code, you will get facilities in cities beginning with the letter "A" with a ZIP code starting with "221."

"We believe [accreditation] is the most effective mechanism for demonstrating to peers, colleagues, and regulatory bodies that the practice provides the highest level of patient care."
