About the Job:

This position is located in the Division of Institution and Award Support, Office of Budget, Finance, and Award Management. Major duties include conducting analytical and evaluative work requiring a comprehensive knowledge of financial, accounting and business principles, standards, practices and operations of a wide range of organizations in order to interpret financial and accounting data, records and reports and negotiate and advise on the reasonableness and allowability of acceptable costs on various types of awards. The incumbent is responsible for highly specialized cost analysis and related activities including 1) indirect cost rate development; 2) conducting pre-award surveys for determining organizational financial condition and adequacy of organizational accounting systems; 3) maintaining information on indirect cost rates established by NSF and other Federal agencies; 4) assisting NSF awardees in implementing adequate financial and accounting systems for federal awards through preparation of guidance, seminars, and/or site visits; 5) serving as the NSF expert on various cost principles (OMB A-21, A-122, A-87 and FAR 31.2) affecting NSF awards; and 6)review, analysis, and resolution of audit findings contained in Office of Inspector General (OIG) issued audit reports affecting NSF awards.

Relocation expenses for this position will not be paid.
